The Wild and Stars meet twice this week - Wednesday in Dallas, Friday in St. Paul. Minnesota comes off Monday's 4-3 loss to Chicago (Second City Hockey's recap) and is without Filip Gustavsson (hip). Off the ice, Quinn Hughes says he's in a "great spot" with the Wild and won't sacrifice it to play with his brothers.
Dallas beat St. Louis on Monday and is managing a long out list: Colin Blackwell is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, with Arno Tiefensee, Tristan Bertucci, and Jaxon Fuder also out and Cameron Hughes day-to-day. The Stars did sign Sam Steel to a four-year extension on Monday.
